The Interactive Advertising Bureau states that Internet got investements for $ 42,9 billions, against $ 40,1 billions for TV.
Lion’s share went to mobile, registering for the third consecutive year a 3 units growth. In 2013 mobile overtook $ 7,1 billions, equal to +110% vs 2012. Smartphone and tablet brought upÂ the 17% of advertinsing incomes, comparing to the 9% of the year before.
The report continues with the growth of 7% for display, 9% for search and 19% for video advertising. Display campaigns had a revenue of $ 12,8 billions, matching the 43% of the yearly adv sales volumes, with search marketing at $ 18,4 billions and video campaigns with revenues for $ 2,8 billions.
Randall Rothenberg, chairman and CEO of IAB, stated that this growth “proves how the digital screen is able to reach and engage audiences”.
