Online advertising in 2012: the results of a survey carried out by the Osservatorio Fcp-Assointernet
Online advertising records a 9.8% increase in sales from last year.
According to the Observatory Fcp-Assointernet, in the lapse between January and September 2012 online advertising experienced a 9.8% growth in sales from last year.
The study only involved the display, performance and classified/directories categories. The first recorded the highest increase (13.2 %), the second a 7.2% drop, the third an 8.7 increase.
Therefore, even though the economic trends have definitely affected the Internet as well, the overall picture emerging at the end of 2012 is positive. In particular, video advertising registered a 100% increase from 2011.
